Our philosophy

We pride ourselves on being transparent and having a simple fee structure. We’re not attorneys and we try not to bill like one. We aim to be clear in what services we are providing and give you, our valued client, options to choose what level of service you desire. Most business services and tax preparation fees will fit into our standard fee structure. We believe the following Service Plans give you an idea of our philosophy and approach to the services we offer. Of course, there is always the outlier or the unusual situation, as no two individuals and/or businesses are the same. Nor can we forget the basic disorganization, advanced disorganization, disguised disorganization and misrepresented organization that sometimes apply to one’s record keeping, which can increase your tax preparation fee.

Because individual taxes and small business services are core competencies for us, we have created both Individual and Business Advisory Service Plans that bundle many of the services we offer, giving you the option to choose what level of service you desire.

We are accountants; we are not salespeople. We are not putting lipstick on a pig and trying to convince you to love it. Nor are we paid based upon how much or how little money you pay in taxes. Our job remains being professionally detached, giving you the relevant information, and letting you decide the best course of action for you, your business and your family. We see far too many crazy schemes and half-baked ideas from attorneys and wealth managers. In some cases, they are good ideas and good benefits for our clients. However, in most cases, all the crazy entity structures, tax loopholes your brother-in-law told you about, and other exotically named planning strategies provide only an illusion of benefit and, usually, create more complexity and costs than benefits. Just because you can complicate your life does not mean you should.
